Understanding the Design Process

Towne & Countree Kitchens designs the perfect custom cabinetry for your project.

All of the design work for your project is done in house with our experienced designers.

We typically begin the design process in our showroom where you can take your time and browse our displays, get to know our products and a little about Towne & Countree Kitchens.  Although it is in our name, we do so much more than just kitchens.  We also don’t just show kitchens in our showroom, we also have on display a beautiful bar, bathroom vanities with amazing storage options, china cabinetry and entertainment centre options.  We are also proud to show off our offices!  We should change our name to… Towne & Countree Whatever you Need!

Our showroom displays are decked out with fun and functional accessories.  You will see cabinetry drawers, corner cabinet options, pull outs and roll outs and bins, Oh My!  We have tilt ups, lift ups, rolls ups!  We have pantry solutions, garbage and recycle magic happens here.  Most importantly, don’t forget the wine cabinetry.

Once you have been in our showroom to peruse your choices, you can expect an on-site visit from a designer to confirm dimensions and ensure no surprises! Computer perspectives can be prepared to help you visualize the details of your project.

We always strive to have your project be a collaboration of your ideas and our industry experience. Towne & Countree Kitchens will make your design process a highly enjoyable experience for you.

  • Phase 1: Planning and Consultation

We want you to be 100% comfortable with your purchasing decision. Towne & Countree Kitchen’s professional designers will tour you through our showroom, explaining the different options available. They will give you design feedback and suggestions, as well as an idea of the cost to have Towne & Countree Kitchen’s work for you.

Although Towne & Countree Kitchen’s professional designers are among the best in the industry, independent interior designers and architects bring another level of expertise to your project. We welcome the opportunity to work alongside these highly skilled professionals.

NEW HOME TIP – Bring everything with you, including plans, samples, and magazine photos.

RENOVATION TIP – Do not commit to your appliances until your kitchen design is finalized.

  • Phase 2: Design Review

Towne & Countree Kitchen’s Designer will use extensive resources and time in preparing detailed drawings required to produce your cabinetry. In order to move your project further along the process, a Design retainer fee will be requested and will be credited towards your cabinetry purchase.

  • Manufacturing and Installation

Once the design is completed and approved, your drawings will be submitted to the shop and custom crafted based on your selections. Your cabinets will be delivered by Towne & Countree Kitchen’s team and installed by one of our highly skilled in-house installers. Our designers, installers and installation coordinators will work closely with you and your contractor throughout the installation process.

INSTALLATION TIP: Ensure that our installers have an area to “set up shop.” They will be cutting and trimming pieces in order to custom-fit the cabinetry to your home.
